The Great Strategy
Throughout the ages past, even before time as we know it began, an eternal struggle has existed between
God and his arch enemy Satan. We human beings have been caught in the middle of this cosmic war.
Satan or Lucifer, Son of the Morning was at some point so exalted in God’s eternal kingdom that his power, beauty, and pride caused him to fall from his exalted position. It is recorded that he was the first throughout eternity to sin through rebellion against his creator. Now, from an earthly point of view, this battle has been raging for over 6000 years . The consummation of this great conflict is coming to it’s prophesied conclusion. And there is no escape. As it is written, the glory of the Lord shall cover the earth.
The rebellion
Isa 14:12 “How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! 13 For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven,
I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation
On the farthest sides of the north; 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’ 15 Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, To the lowest depths of the Pit. NKJV
The reason behind the fall.
Ezek 28: “You were the model of perfection, full of wisdom and exquisite in beauty.13 You were in Eden, the garden of God. Your clothing was adorned with every precious stone—red carnelian, pale green peridot, white moonstone, blue green beryl, onyx, green jasper, blue lapis lazuli, turquoise, and emerald—all beautifully crafted for you and set in the finest gold. They were given to you on the day you were created.14 I ordained and anointed you as the mighty angelic guardian. You had access to the holy mountain of God and walked among the stones of fire.
15 “You were blameless in all you did from the day you were created until the day evil was found in you.16 Your rich commerce led you to violence, and you sinned. So I banished you in disgrace from the mountain of God. I expelled you, O mighty guardian, from your place among the stones of fire.17 Your heart was filled with pride because of all your beauty. Your wisdom was corrupted by your love of splendor. So I threw you to the ground NLT
The Satanic strategy was to overthrow God’s dominion in the earth by deceiving the man and the woman. Notice that the man and the woman were tempted with the same temptation that Lucifer was tempted with………to be like God.
Gen 3: 3 The serpent was the shrewdest of all the wild animals the Lord God had made. One day he asked the woman, “Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?”
2 “Of course we may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,” the woman replied. 3 “It’s only the fruit from the tree in the middle of the garden that we are not allowed to eat. God said, ‘You must not eat it or even touch it; if you do, you will die.’”
4 “You won’t die!” the serpent replied to the woman. 5 “God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.”
6 The woman was convinced. She saw that the tree was beautiful and its fruit looked delicious, and she wanted the wisdom it would give her. So she took some of the fruit and ate it. Then she gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it, too. 7 At that moment their eyes were opened, and they suddenly felt shame at their nakedness. So they sewed fig leaves together to cover themselves. NLT
The next strategy was to corrupt the human race so that the “Seed of the Woman” would be defiled and not pure, thereby preventing the Messiah from entering the human race to redeem mankind. The flood and the last pure Adamite stock.
Gen 6:6 The number of people on earth beganto grow, and daughters were born to them. 2 When the sons of God saw that these girls were beautiful, they married any of them they chose. 3 The Lord said, “My Spirit will not remain in human beings forever, because they are flesh. They will live only 120 years.”
4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days and also later. That was when the sons of God had sexual relations with the daughters of human beings. These women gave birth to children, who became famous and were the mighty warriors of long ago.
5 The Lord saw that the human beings on the earth were very wicked and that everything they thought about was evil. 6 He was sorry he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain. 7 So the Lord said, “I will destroy all human beings that I made on the earth. And I will destroy every animal and everything that crawls on the earth and the birds of the air, because I am sorry I have made them.” 8 But Noah pleased the Lord. NCV
The next Satanic strategy was to destroy the seed of Abraham and Sarah because through their seed all the nations would be blessed. He is known as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob which became the nation of Israel. Satan’s plan was to corrupt and defile and destroy the Jewish Nation. Moses himself lamented their tendency toward evil.
Deut 32:15 Israel, you grew fat and rebelled against God, your Creator; you rejected the Mighty Rock,
your only place of safety. 16 You made God jealous and angry by worshiping disgusting idols
and foreign gods. 17 You offered sacrifices to demons, those useless gods that never helped you,
new gods that your ancestors never worshiped. 18 You turned away from God, your Creator; you forgot the Mighty Rock, the source of your life. CEV
However, God has always had a faithful remnant . God’s eternal plan will be accomplished !
Rom 11: 2 No, God has not rejected and disowned His people [whose destiny] He had marked out and appointed and foreknown from the beginning. Do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel? [Ps 94:14; 1 Kings 19:1.] 3 Lord, they have killed Your prophets; they have demolished Your altars, and I alone am left, and they seek my life. 4 But what is God’s reply to him? I have kept for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal! [1 Kings 19:18.]
5 So too at the present time there is a remnant (a small believing minority), selected (chosen) by grace (by God’s unmerited favor and graciousness). AMP
Satan’s strategy then changed to destroying Israel through 8 Gentiles Beast Empires which were revealed through visions to Daniel the Prophet and John the Apostle. Dan 7:3, Rev 13:1-2, 17:3
Seven of the beast empires are history, however, Israel has been a nation again since 1948 and in control of Jerusalem. The eighth and final beast empire will soon arise and propel this world into Daniel’s 70th prophetic week.
Rev 17: 9 “And now think hard: his seven heads represent a certain city built on seven hills where this woman has her residence. 10 They also represent seven kings. Five have already fallen, the sixth now reigns, and the seventh is yet to come, but his reign will be brief. 11 The scarlet animal that died is the eighth king, having reigned before as one of the seven; after his second reign, he too, will go to his doom. 12 His ten horns are ten kings who have not yet risen to power; they will be appointed to their kingdoms for one brief moment, to reign with him. 13 They will all sign a treaty giving their power and strength to him. 14 Together they will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them; for he is Lord over all lords, and King of kings, and his people are the called and chosen and faithful ones. The next event is the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem.
