First, The Lord wants us to prosper ! ………..And don’t forget it !

Ps 35:27 Let them shout for joy and be glad, Who favor my righteous cause; And let them say continually,

“Let the Lord be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.” NKJV

3 John 2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

Ps 112:1 Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, Who delights greatly in His  commandments.  2 His descendants will be mighty on earth; The generation of the upright will be blessed.

3 Wealth and riches will be in his house, And his righteousness endures forever. NKJV

What is God’s purpose through our prosperity?

Deut 8:18 “And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day. NKJV

Prosperity is defined as conforming to God’s Word.

Isa 48: 17 Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God,

Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you by the way you should go. NKJV

Isa 48:17 “I am God, your God, who teaches you how to live right and well. I show you what to do, where to go. 18 If you had listened all along to what I told you, your life would have flowed full like a river,

blessings rolling in like waves from the sea. Msg

Deut 28:1 “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. 2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God: NKJV

Things that cut off God’s blessing of prosperity.

Isa 59:2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear. 3 For your hands are defiled with blood, And your fingers with iniquity;

Your lips have spoken lies, Your tongue has muttered perversity.  NKJV

Demonic attack can temporarily cut off the flow of blessing.

Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them. 7 And the Lord said to Satan, “From where do you come?”

So Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.”  8 Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?”

9 So Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing? 10 Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. 11 But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!” 12 And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.”  NKJV

Prosperity is not the  goal, holiness is the goal, and prosperity is the fruit of holiness. In other words, prosperity is the natural result of righteous living.

Job 1:1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God and shunned evil. 2 And seven sons and three daughters were born to him. 3 Also, his possessions were seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred female donkeys, and a very large household, so that this man was the greatest of all the people of the East.  NKJV

Don’t seek wealth, let wealth seek you. Seek the Lord, in His presence all we will ever need will be found.

Prov 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. NKJV

Prov 8:17 I love those who love me, And those who seek me diligently will find me. 18 Riches and honor are with me, Enduring riches and righteousness. 19 My fruit is better than gold, yes, than fine gold,

And my revenue than choice silver. 20 I traverse the way of righteousness, In the midst of the paths of justice, 21 That I may cause those who love me to inherit wealth, That I may fill their treasuries. NKJV

Matt 6:33  But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. NKJV

Diligence, hard work, persistence, are the ingredients  of prosperity and success.

Prov 10:4 He who has a slack hand becomes poor, But the hand of the diligent makes rich. NKJV

Knowledge of God’s Word and how to apply it will make you wealthy.

2 Chron 1:12 I will certainly give you the wisdom and knowledge you requested. But I will also give you wealth, riches, NLT

Hos 4:6  My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, NKJV

God’s kingdom is build on the Laws of Sowing and Reaping, and Seed Time and Harvest.

Gen 8:22 “While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer,

And day and night Shall not cease.”  NKJV

2 Cor 9:6 Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. 7 You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” 8 And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. 9 As the Scriptures say,

“They share freely and give generously to the poor.

Their good deeds will be remembered forever.”

10 For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you.

11 Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God.   NLT

Tithes, Offerings, and First Fruits

Mal 3:10. Test me in this and see if I don’t open up heaven itself to you and pour out blessings beyond your wildest dreams. Msg

The Lord is eager to release the blessing.

Jer 1:12  I am watching over My word to perform it.” NASU

Prov 10:22  The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it. NKJV
